The IDEC ASN311N is a three-position maintained selector switch from the TWN/TWND series of 30 mm heavy-duty industrial operators - IDEC's current-generation control line. A black knob operator steps through three fixed positions at a 45 degree operating angle, providing reliable OFF-AUTO, MANUAL-OFF-AUTO and similar mode selections on machine and MCC panels. Switching is performed by HW-U type finger-safe contact blocks (IP20 on the rear) ordered with the operator to build exactly the NO/NC sequence your circuit needs; blocks carry screw terminals and silver alloy contacts rated for industrial duty with a continuous thermal current of 10 A at up to 600 VAC. The front assembly provides oil-tight IP65 sealing for machine-tool environments. The TWN/TWND platform is UL, CSA and EN compliant and supports LED bulb illumination upgrades (direct-type up to 240 V), so indication can be added without changing operator families. It mounts in the standard 30.5 mm control-unit panel cutout shared across the series.
